Fancy Dress

All children and young adults can turn up on the day in fancy dress for the Fancy Dress Competition which will be judged early in the Carnival.

Additionally we have a Schools Art competition. All schools welcome to put in entries - children, please nag your Art Teacher to get the schools to enter.

Balloon Race

This year we again have a BALLOON RELEASE with 300 balloons being released in one go

(We have even got an Air Traffiic Control slot booked!)

Pay £1 and fill out your race card and who knows your balloon may fly as far as last years winner did – Austria! (depending on the wind direction!).

Prizes will be given out to the owners of the 3 balloons that travel the farthest – 1st prize £30 – 2nd prize £20 – 3rd prize £10 and of course a finders fee to our European friends who return the labels. This fantastic race will be run and sponsored by Waitrose Sunningdale.

Chocolate Cake Competition

Sunningdale Area Carnival are holding a Chocolate Cake Competition again this year!

The intention is to find the best cook and not the best recipe, therefore Auntie Ada’s secret ingredient and special icing will cause an upset – ONLY the recipe and instructions described on the entry form may be used.

It is your skill that will prevail.

How to Enter:

The recipe HERE is the one to use, and you will need to complete the Entry Form on the back of the leaflet.

Entries will be judged on the day of the Carnival.

To register:

Please take your cake entry on the day of the Carnival to the Rendezvous Tent by 12 noon on a disposable plate. There you will be given an entry number.

Please indicate very clearly if there are any ingredients containing potential allergens.

The prize-giving for the best cake will be at 2.30pm in front of the committee tent.

We are delighted to say that the judges will be: Vicky, from “Anne Marie Patisserie” of Ascot and Sunninghill, and Caroline, from “Cupcakes by Caroline” of Sunningdale.
